Tehran, Iran, August 6, 2015 – Turkmenistan recorded six losses in a row in the 18th Asian Senior Men’s Championship, going down 1-3 loss 25-23, 20-25, 19-25, 25-27 to Kuwait.
Head coach of Kuwait, Radovan Malevic: “My players were mentally and physically exhausted. The difficulty of the match was not because of the strength of our rival but the great tiredness of my players after five games. I am very happy with this win and also very pleased with my young players. Our match next day will be very difficult. The other side will definitely fight for the victory, which makes our job hard. But I have good faith in my players and hope to show our best performance on Friday.”
Kuwait’s captain, Abdullah Mansour: “We made a lot of errors in the first set, but took control in the second one and managed to close the game. Technically, we had a lot of problems in this game.”
On Iran’s hosting: “Iran is a beautiful country. The arena is standard and the hotel is great. Everybody tries to make us pleased and I’m so happy with this and appreciate the Iranian people and volleyball federation.”
