Kazakhstan outperform Pakistan to ride crest of confidence

Tehran, Iran, August 4, 2015 – Kazakhstan handed Pakistan a bitter loss 3-2 (21-26, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 15-12) to top Pool G in the 18th Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.

Kazakhstan’s coach, Patrokov Andrey: “It was a good match. We had more chances of winning, then we took them for granted. My players are so tired. They had so tough matches recently. I am so satisfied with them as they were very good in this match against Pakistan. We have to recover physically to make a good performance in the quarter-finals among the low-ranked teams.

Kazakhstan’s captain, Alexander Stolnikov: “I would like to take a rest. We are so exhausted and we badly it. The referees were not good at this match. it seems they were biased and would like Pakistan to win.

Regarding the host country: Iran is a good country. I am happy for being here. They are very kind and bear simile each moment we encounter. The accommodation and the hotel is also great. Overall, the hosting was really excellent.

Pakistan’s captain, Naseer Ahmed: “We were so unlucky in this match. The players are all tired. We went through five sets in most of our matches. This put a lot of pressure on us. I hope, we can get better in our quarter-finals.”
